A small London cabinet. Fewer stones, and the facts that change a price kept in one place: gem, colour, origin, treatment, weight and measurements.

There is no published street address. Viewing is by appointment, once a stone is real stock rather than a sample on this page.

Treatment is unheated or heated. Emerald may carry minor colourless oil. Oil is traditional, and it can dry out. That is written on the stone, not added after a sale.

Origin is a country when the stone supports it. A mine is not invented. A Mozambican tourmaline is not called Paraíba. Colour is described in ordinary words, not a trade grade.

No beryllium diffusion. No glass filling. No resin or polymer in an emerald. No badly cracked stones, no chips on the girdle, and no flat cuts that window the colour out of the centre.

A laboratory report is either absent or, in this catalogue, marked “Sample — not a real report”. Report numbers are not invented.
